do not buy it just run icebreaker you can find 4-5 of them but you have to deal with BDs that's kinda bad
The plastic covers offer complete confidence in sanitation between patients and are easily placed on and off.
It works great - sometimes. It does not show even remotely deep veins, and it works poorly on big guys with leathery, sun-cured skin or people with tattoos. Bright ambulance lights decrease its effectiveness, and the light shield is clumsy to use because it goes over the sanitary cover, not under it. It does well with pediatric patients and geriatrics with thin skin. I often loose my landmark after prepping the site, and the Veinlite does a great job of preventing this when I can't visualize a distended vein. The claims of significant success increases are likely overblown. It is an expensive tool that has made a marginal difference in someone pretty new to the field. My experiences and opinion may change over time.
i found 3 on a yellow card room! thanks god
As a home infusion RN, I care for patients with a wide range of vascular access challenges. I chose this Veinlite because it is significantly lighter and less bulky than the adult version, making it much easier to carry between patient visits. One of the biggest advantages is that it’s much easier to hold in place while simultaneously starting an IV, which makes the entire process more efficient.
To my surprise, it has actually performed even better than the adult version for locating difficult veins. This device has been well worth the investment. It has helped me achieve successful IV access more efficiently, reducing the need for multiple needle sticks and making the experience much more comfortable for my patients. In home infusion, where first-stick success is especially important, this has become an invaluable tool.
I highly recommend this Veinlite to any clinician who frequently starts IVs, especially those caring for patients with difficult venous access. If you’re on the fence about purchasing one, I can confidently say it’s worth every penny. It has exceeded my expectations, and I have absolutely no regrets about buying it.
Works better than expected. The Veinlite will be very helpful.
Love this tool for starting IV lines in my dental office for sedation. I can apply traction and better visualize a vein with one device. My staff and I love this and wouldn't want to practice dentistry without it.
Veinlite and the covers are great.
Wish the charger were a universal"C", butchargeis quick and the unit holds its charge well. 💕 that can actually Use the unit while charging! 💕
An absolute necessity for any floor nurse. Been using one for 13 years now.
My LEDX is indispensable for my CT job doing IV placements for contrast exams. Cannot afford to have my Veinlite be out of battery at any time so an extra charger is always good to have; one for home and one at work.
I use it everyday. You should too. Your patients will thank you
This is the second one I got for our clinic, it is bit expensive but worth it. My nurses happy and patients are happier:)
Support was quick to respond in getting us the correct replacement part. Website was easy to navigate and order.
Just received and tried the VeinLite LED+. Easy to use, make's blood draw a little less stressful for the provider and the patient.
Love the Veinlite for IV placement — I honestly can’t do my job without it. It makes life so much easier!
