We love getting to know Veinlite® users at industry events, training opportunities and any time we connect by phone, email or social media. In that spirit, we thought it would be fun to ask some of our team members to share a little bit about themselves with our readers.

NIzar MullaniNizar

My name is Nizar Mullani. I was born and raised in Tanzania, East Africa. I went to boarding school in England and got a scholarship from the US AID organization to attend Washington University in Saint Louis, MO.

  1. What do you love about Translite?
It’s my baby. It was created to allow me to make my ideas and designs available to others. The major driving force for TransLite was, and is, to help mankind.
  2. Fun Fact about you.
I love the fact that my personality and beliefs have been fluid as I age. I have enjoyed all the different stages of my life as I went through the Hippie days, to serious medical research, and now to a businessman. I love to ask the question “WHY?”
  3. What do you feel most strongly about in today’s society?
The inability of people to honestly discuss ideas and issues without being condemned or labeled. My British boarding school education taught me to debate issues and listen to the other side. Even during the worst times of the Vietnam War days, there was debate about issues. Not today. I miss that in today’s society.
  4. If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things could you not live without?
My family, my faith and my belief in the basic goodness in everyone.

Kristin MullaniKristin

My name is Kristin, and am from Houston, TX, living with my family and snuggle bug, a rescued puppy who is 4 years old.

  1. What do you love about Translite?
I love the work dynamic, being able to provide a product that actually makes a difference. I love how we are constantly being encouraged to grow, not only as an employee but as an individual.
  2. Fun Fact about you.
I love adventure. Anything outdoors, on the water, or in the dirt. Driving my Raptor to, from and through Baja has been incredibly fulfilling.
  3. What do you feel most strongly about in today’s society?
My issue today is that the general population is so influenced and persuaded by news, social media, politics and others’ opinions. It’s almost an epidemic to the point people are unable to create their own values, beliefs and opinions.
  4. If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things could you not live without?
My kid. My sweet tea, and a radio.

KatieKatie

My name is Katie Schertler and I have been with TransLite for almost 4 years. I went to college at SFASU and got my master’s degree from University of Denver. I moved to Meadows Place, TX, in 2015 with my husband and 2 rescue dogs. We welcomed our baby boy, Theo, into the world 10 months ago and he has completed our little family for now.

  1. What do you love about Translite?
I love TransLite because this company cares about its customers and its employees. Our team is like family and that is hard to find. I feel accomplished at the end of the work day and feel like I made a difference in someone’s life.
  2. Fun Fact about you.
I am obsessed with Sharks. I have shark encyclopedias and shark artwork throughout my house. Shark Week is the best week of the year!
  3. What do you feel most strongly about in today’s society?
I think it is so important to stay connected to loved ones beyond the means of social media. A phone call or a face-to-face meeting should not be replaced by a “like” on a photo. Everyone is busy and it can sometimes be difficult to make time for everyone, but time is worth more than gold.
  4. If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things could you not live without?
I’m assuming people are not allowed to be part of the 3 things so I would say sunscreen because I would burn in no time, a good book, and pictures of my family.

NatalieNatalie

My name is Natalie and I am from Houston TX. I was Born and raised in the city, but you’ll find me now in the suburbs. I graduated from the University of Houston and have since completed my family with my husband, two boys, 3 dogs and a hedgehog.

  1. What do you love about Translite?
I love that it is a family-owned business that prioritizes HELPING MANKIND. I love that the product works on everyone and can really ease the minds of people that are terrified of needles, and physicians that are unsure of their IV skills.
  2. Fun Fact about you. I love being outdoors. I love to drive my Raptor off road the way it was meant to be driven. It has provided my little family many amazing memories. #dirtlife.
  3. What do you feel most strongly about in today’s society? Social Media. It has ruined this generation. The good days of ACTUALLY watching a game, or having an ACTUAL conversation over dinner with your loved ones are all jaded by constantly being on a phone and plugged in. I miss the days without Myspace which started it all, Facebook and all of the other social media platforms. Please. Put your phone down and enjoy LIFE.
  4. If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things could you not live without? Assuming I have survival tools, pictures of my family, shampoo, and a razor.

KelseaKelsea

My name is Kelsea Last and I am originally from Monahans, TX, where I was born and raised until my Sophomore year in High School when my family moved to the Houston area. I have since stayed in the area and now make my home in Missouri City with my husband, 11 month old daughter, and our two rescue dogs.

  1. What do you love about Translite?
We are a small company and so everyone here is treated like family. It is a fun environment where you can truly be yourself and are encouraged and motivated to do your best work. I love that I don’t even have to try to work hard. I simply just do because I love it here, and the people around me.
  2. Fun Fact about you.
CrossFit is a huge hobby of mine. My mother-in-law opened up her own CrossFit gym back in 2016 and I help her run it and coach some of the classes. The girls here will tell you, I am obsessed with fitness and weightlifting.
  3. What do you feel most strongly about in today’s society?
The way people look at and treat their bodies as far as health and nutrition. So much can be resolved and taken care of if people make the effort to eat well and are more active. I do not believe in excuses.
  4. If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things could you not live without?
Water, my PerformaSleep recovery mattress, and mosquito spray (those suckers love me).

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about us, and we’d love to hear from you. If you have any questions, post them to one of our social media channels or email us at [email protected].
